Where do you live now? Is it hot or cold? Well, here in my world--it is fricken cold and has been since November--that's almost half a year. We are constantly being told how the weather is getting hotter--I keep asking myself, where these idiots are living. I visit with people from the southeast on the phones and get a chuckle when they say it is cold where they live--it got down to a whopping 60 degrees for a high in January. Then they have the gaul to ask me where I live and ask about my weather. I tell them that I live in the Rocky Mountains and lucky to have gotten up to 10 degrees on the warmest of days. WEATHER IS ALL RELATIVE TO WHERE YOU ARE LIVING!!
It is spring time here and I can handle the sunny days and maybe 40-50 degrees outside, but those are so limited--being mostly cloudy and 40 +/- degrees is a totally different story. I think we are even getting into the 50s now--but being stormy and overcast--it is still fricken cold. I figure it will just stay this way until July 4. Don't remember it ever being this cold for this long. It is spring here!! I expect to have only occassional cold and snowy days, but this is getting ridiculous.
Well so much for the diatribe on the weather. Maybe I am just getting so old that I will never be getting warm anymore. I remember how Grandma Kent used to complain because Grandma Phillips needed the wood stove stoked as she was cold. I then remember how a few years later Grandma Kent used to stoke the stove as she was cold. Guess with age, life just gets cold.
